Volunteer with Fort Wayne Trails!

Our volunteers propel Fort Wayne Trails’ mission to create a safe, accessible trail system that improves quality of life forward. Our organization participates in numerous events each year with the goal of providing Allen County residents with a greater awareness of the impact our trails make. As our trail system continues to grow, so do our opportunities to share about your love for the trails.

We would love to have YOU as one of our trail advocates through volunteering!  Please contact [email protected] or fill out our volunteer interest form to be added to our volunteer email list.

Volunteer Opportunities

Fairs and Expos:

Fort Wayne Trails regularly participates in health and wellness events hosted by our community partners. At these events, we invite our volunteers to run our information tables. Volunteers provide information about the trail system as well as answer trail-related questions. These are great opportunities to share your passion for the trails.

Fort Wayne Trails Events:

Fort Wayne Trails organizes several annual events each year. Our events cater to a wide range of interests and activities, so there is something for everybody. Our event season begins in April and runs through September.

Adopt-A-Greenway:

Are you a part of a group or an organization that loves the trails? Adopt-A-Greenway is a great way to spend time outdoors a few times year and help keep our trail system looking beautiful! For more information, check out our Adopt-A-Greenway page!

Fort Wayne Trails Maintenance Team:

Fort Wayne Trails is offering a new way to volunteer on the trails! Our soft maintenance volunteers will assist in keeping our trails safe and beautiful. This group of volunteers will be cutting back tree limbs and brush, edging the pathways and doing other general maintenance as required. Prior experience using lawn care tools is required.
